Where is Hafjell ?
Hafjell ski resort is located in Lillehammer region of Norway approximately 15km north of town. From the airport in Oslo it is easy to get to Lillehammer. We recommend that you take the train to Lillehammer and then bus or taxi to Hafjell if you do not come by car. The distance from Oslo to Hafjell is 190 km.

How are the roads up to Hafjell ?
If you drive the E6 highway, you will experience good road standards and no problems with mountain passes and bad weather.

Is there a train or bus to Hafjell ?
Norwegian State railways has frequent train arrivals to Lillehammer from Oslo. In addition, the train to Trondheim stop at Hunderfossen station located 3 km from Hafjell. There are buses from Oslo via Oslo Airport Gardermoen. These buses stop 100 meters from the hotel.

Train tickets from Oslo to Lillehammer
We recommend that you book your train tickets in advance then it's a good chance to get great discounts. You can do that on www.nsb.no - remember that tickets have to be taken out on the machines in the airport. Then you add the reference number and number to your mobile. The train station is located in the basement of the airport.

Everyone must check in at reception at Hafjell Hotel & Apartments. Here you also get keys to the apartments at Alpine Apartments Solsiden, Alpine Apartments Sørlia and Gaiastova apartments.

What are in the apartments?
All our apartments are fully equipped, but that's not including food or toiletries.

Is there linen in the apartments?
Bed linen and towels can be ordered online or by date. This costs NOK 150 - per person.

How far is it from hotel to apartments?
The distance between Hafjell Hotel & Apartments and Alpine Apartments Solsiden is 1500 meters, to the Alpine Apartments Sørlia is 2300 meters and Gaiastova it is 12 km. Remember that there is a toll road to Gaiastova and it costs NOK 30 -

There are parking spaces for our apartments. Parking tokens you get from the hotel reception.

Allergy friendly and non-smoking rooms and apartments?
Our rooms and apartments are not specified allergenic friendly, but all non-smoking.

Can we bring pets?
We have booked two flats in the Alpine Apartments Solsiden and a few rooms at the hotel for dog and cat owners who want to bring their pet. An add-on price. Please let us know when booking if you will take with pets.

How hot is it in the apartment on arrival?
The temperature will be at least 18 degrees.

Opening hours for supermarkets in Hafjell
Supermarkets in Hafjell is open all days including Sundays. These stores are located about 500 meters from the hotel in the opposite direction of the apartments.

Cash machine in Hafjell
There are ATMs at DNB Nor bank in Hafjell. Moreover, it is also banking on the retail KIWI Hafjell.

Bus in Hafjell
In Hafjell is the free bus that goes from the hotels to the ski center. This bus operates during the winter season. You will find the time table for the ski bus at the reception. Snow Guarantee Hafjell 2010/2011
Hafjell Alpine Centre and Hafjell Resort guarantee the following:
From 06.12 to 19.12 Minimum 15 km runs, 3 lifts and 25 km cross-country trails
20.12-25.04 Minimum 15 km runs, 9 lifts and 50 km cross-country trails
Last opening day of the season 10/11: 25 April 2011
The main ski slopes in the top section is opened first.

Free Christmas tree in Hafjell
Hafjell Resort offers all who live in apartments over the Christmas Eve a Chrstimas tree with stand for free. This Christmas tree will be delivered the day of arrival or no later than Christmas Eve to the apartments.
