Terms and conditions for Hafjell Resort in Norway

All check in and check out for our apartments on Gaiastova, Alpin Apartments Sørlia and Alpin Apartments Solsiden and chalets is done at the reception at Hafjell Hotel & Apartments (Hundervegen 33)

How do I pay?
You pay with your credit card on our online booking. This offer will be charged as following:

- 25% of the total amount will be charged when the booking has been made.
- The last 75% is due 6 weeks before arrival
This is an easy, safe and quick way to make the payment, and most credit cards include travel insurance that applies as long as more than 50% of the travel is paid for by the credit card. We recommend that you check the travel insurance terms on the credit card that you use to make your booking.

Travel insurance:
We recommend strongly that you take out travel insurance, which will cover, among other things, costs involved in accidents, death, medical treatment, repatriation, loss or damage to luggage.

What applies for cancellation?
Once we have charged to your credit card a cancellation will have financial consequences.

Cancellation protection:
Voluntary cancellation protection can be subscribed to when booking your stay, and must be paid for with the first payment if it is to be valid. The following conditions apply when cancellation protection has been paid: If a guest cancels earlier than 30 days before arrival, the advance payment is refunded with an administration charge per unit deducted. If a guest cancels later than 30 days before arrival, Hafjell Hotel & Apartments retain the advance payment in its entirety, unless the conditions of the cancellation protection have been complied with.
The cancellation protection applies if the person booking, spouse/child/sibling/parent or partner falls ill, has a serious accident or dies. A medical certificate must be sent to Hafjell Hotel & Apartments immediately. If the above conditions apply, the entire amount paid will be refunded, with a deduction of the administration charge. The administration charge is NOK 500 per room/apartment. The cancellation protection will not be refunded. Cancellation must take place in writing, e.g. by e-mail. If cancellation protection has not been taken, the entire advance payment will be retained.

What applies for cancellation?
After we charged your credit card a cancellation have economic consequences.

Hotel:
Your booking can be canceled at least 2 days (48 hours) before arrival. The prepayment is then refunded minus one expedition fee amounting to NOK 300, - (cover transaction costs etc.)
-By Special promotions, prices are not refundable. This will be specified in the booking calendar ..

Apartments / cottages:
In case of cancellation within 42 days (6 weeks) before arrival refunded the amount paid, minus one expedition fee amounting to NOK 300
In case of cancellation between 42 days and 15 days before arrival refunded the amount paid less the deposit and handling fee amounting to NOK 300
In case of cancellation later than 14 days before arrival No refund is given.

For some of our units will be possible to add a separate cancellation insurance. If this is selected the following terms:
In case of cancellation within 42 days (6 weeks) before arrival refunded the amount paid, minus one expedition fee amounting to NOK 300
In case of cancellation later than 42 days before arrival refunded the amount paid, minus one expedition fee amounting to NOK 300 provided valid medical certificate.

Large chalets & cottages (more than 18 beds):
In case of cancellation within 42 days (6 weeks) before arrival refunded the amount paid, minus one expedition fee amounting to NOK 500
In case of cancellation later than 42 days before arrival No refund is given.

Checking in/checking out:
Check in for all of our rooms and apartments is from 5 pm on day of arrival, and check out is 11 am at the latest on the day of departure.

Non smoking:
All of our apartments are non-smoking. We request that all of our guests respect this.

Pets:
Pets are permitted at some apartments at Alpin Apartments Solsiden & Alpin Apartments Sørlia and few rooms at Hafjell Hotel.

Terms and conditions:
The renter of the accommodation is not responsible for unsatisfactory snow conditions, closed facilities or other factors outside our control. We reserve the right to errors and changes to our price lists.

Complaints:
Any claims for refunds during the stay must be presented to the owners at the location. Please contact reception, or call tel. (+47) 61 28 55 50. This must take place within a reasonable period of time, and at the latest by 10 am on the day following arrival. Such errors or discrepancies will be corrected immediately with the least possible inconvenience to the guest. Lack of claim will normally lead to the loss of the right to any subsequent compensation claim.

Deposit:
We reserve the right to register your credit/debit card on arrival at our receptions. The credit/debit card will not be charged unless we are permitted to do so by the guest. The deposit is intended to ensure that the apartment does not suffer vandalism, etc.
