Twinings Best Breakfast awarded in 2017 and 2018 Norway's best breakfast. Hafjell Hotell became county winner in Oppland as the hotel with the best hotel breakfast. This was the first time a hotel from the Lillehammer region won this competition.

In 2018, Hafjell Hotell won again the competition to have the best hotel breakfast in Oppland county. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday - Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The criteria for winning include the quality of the products, selection, presentation, information to the guests, service, atmosphere, cleanliness and tidiness. The jury consists of chefs and sommeliers from the Haugen Group, as well as an independent jury. They have reviewed more than 400 hotels in Norway.
