Prøysen House is in honour of the writer and performer Alf Prøysen. The Museum includes various exhibitions, e.g. one about Alf Prøysen's life, a "Teskjekjerring" Theatre after one of his children's book characters, a library, fairy tale room and Solvang Café. Alf Prøysen's childhood home, Prøysen Cottage, is 800 m from the Prøysen House and the two are connected by the road called "Præstvægen", which is well known from Prøysen's writings.
