Fishing in Øyerfjellet

In Øyerfjellet there are more than 40 fishing lakes, over 100 km of rivers and streams. There are many medium-sized mountain lakes and even more smaller ponds, most of which are easily accessible. Inland in the mountains there are several open arches, which can be an excellent starting point for trout fishing.

A multitude of fishing opportunities in a quiet, family-friendly mountain landscape. There are miles of rivers and small streams, where the trout are willing to bite. Both in the old mountain pasture landscape near the road, and in the birch forest or bare mountain far from the road and people, you will find many small ponds and lakes, excellent for rod fishing.

In several small lakes, wild fish are released. This grows enormously, and after a few years you can get really big mountain trout.

At the northern end of Våsjøen, arrangements have been made for people with reduced mobility. There is a floating pier, rowing boat for loan, barbecue area, shelter and toilet. Otherwise, there are boats for free use on Hornsjøen, Goppollvatnet, Lyngen and Øveråst-vatnet.

More opportunities to get up the mountain. You can drive via Nordseter in Lillehammer, Sjusjøen, Øyer (Towards Hafjelltoppen and Hornsjøen), Tretten (Østfjellvegen) and Fåvang (Goppollvegen). It is well signposted.
