Where is Hafjell ?

Hafjell ski resort is located in Lillehammer region of Norway approximately 15km north of town. From the airport in Oslo it is easy to get to Lillehammer. We recommend that you take the train to Lillehammer and then bus or taxi to Hafjell if you do not come by car. The distance from Oslo to Hafjell is 190 km.

How are the roads up to Hafjell ?

If you drive the E6 highway, you will experience good road standards and no problems with mountain passes and bad weather.  There are toll road to Mosetertoppen and Hafjelltoppen.

Is there a train or bus to Hafjell ?

Norwegian State railways has frequent train arrivals to Lillehammer from Oslo. In addition, the train to Trondheim stop at Hunderfossen station located 3 km from Hafjell. There are buses from Oslo via Oslo Airport. These buses stops 100 meters from the hotel.

Travel from airports to Hafjell with train

Oslo airport - easiest way is to travel with train to Lillehammer and then taxi or the ski bus to Hafjell.  Oslo airport Torp - take the intercity train to Lillehammer and then taxi or ski bus to Hafjell. 

Train tickets from Oslo to Lillehammer

We recommend that you book your train tickets in advance then it's a good chance to get great discounts. You can do that on www.vy.no - remember that tickets have to be taken out on the machines in the airport. Then you add the reference number and number to your mobile. The train station is located in the basement of the airport.

Is there a well-developed bus network between Lillehammer and Hafjell?

How do I check in and get keys to the apartments and chalets

Everyone must check in at reception at Hafjell Hotell (Hundervegen 33). Here you also get keys to apartments, chalets and cottages we rent out in the destination.

What are in the apartments?

All our apartments are fully equipped, but that's not including food or toiletries.

Is there linen in the apartments?

Bed linen and towels can be ordered online or at the reception on arrival.  There are pillows and duvets in the beds in the apartments and cottages. Sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases must be brought or booked online or rented at check-in at Hafjell Hotel.

How far is it from hotel to apartments?

The distance between Hafjell Hotell and Alpin Apartments Solsiden is 1500 meters, to the Alpine Apartments Sørlia is 2300 meters and Gaiastova it is 12 km. Remember that there is a toll road to Gaiastova and Mosetertoppen.

Do you offer a storage room for skies at Hafjell Hotel?

Yes, we offer a heated ski storage room and there are a large ski storage room at the alpine centre. All the apartments do also have ski storage room.

There are parking spaces for our apartments. Parking tokens you get from the hotel reception.

Allergy friendly and non-smoking rooms and apartments?

Our rooms and apartments are not specified allergenic friendly, but all non-smoking.

Pets friendly accommodation

We have reserved two apartments in the Alpine Apartments Solsiden, four in Alpin Apartments Sørlia and a few rooms at the hotel for dog and cat owners who want to bring their pet + some chalets and cabins in Hafjell. An add-on price. Please let us know when booking if you will travel with pets. 

How hot is it in the apartment on arrival?
The temperature will be at least 18 degrees.

Lost and found things

Who should you contact if you have forgotten something at our housing units in Hafjell?
Forgotten items that are found in our cabins, apartments or hotel rooms are delivered to the reception at Hafjell Hotell. We store the things for 3 months and after that it is delivered to Fretex. You can contact the reception by e-mail [email protected] or by phone +47 61 28 55 50
 

Opening hours for supermarkets in Hafjell

Supermarkets in Hafjell is open all days including Sundays. These stores are located about 100 to 500 meters from Hafjell Hotel in the opposite direction of the apartments and cottages.  At Hafjelltoppen there are also a small supermarket.

In Hafjell you have two ski rentals that offer high quality service.
