Hell Natural Park

Northern Europe's largest potholes and park with grazing livestock and play facilities. The potholes that have been named "Hell" are some of the wildest things you can encounter in Norwegian nature. A large gorge, where at the end of the last ice age, large "pots" were formed by water and stones from the ice melting rotating in the rock. Several are over 50 meters deep and 20 meters wide. The formations in Hell can be traced back to the end of the last ice age about 10,000 years ago. The potholes are some of the wildest things you can experience in Norwegian nature.

Helvete Nature Park includes the potholes and Dalbakken Mountain Farm. At Dalbakken Fjellgard, young people and adults can get close to our many livestock species, and in the vicinity of Hell there is rich flora. The trip down and up again takes approx. 1 hour.

We have several cultural offerings - including walking theater, concerts and mine walks, wine tasting and good food in a hut or shelter for groups/parties, a café with homemade cakes and Norwegian traditional food.
