BOOK NOW AND YOU CAN CANCEL FREE OF CHARGE UNTIL 21 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL

"Corona consequence" conditions, for Hafjell Resort, Hafjell Exclusive, Lilleputthammer Familiepark and Hafjell Hotell, commonly referred to as (HH):
All sub-items for Item 4, except item 4.7, as well as for items 5.1 and 5.2 in HH's Booking Terms (https://www.hafjellresort.no/bestillingsvilkar-hafjell-hotell) are from and including 1 December 2020 and up to and including with August 15, 2021 amended.

THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE REPLACED / ADJUSTED REGARDING CANCELLATION

4.0 CANCELLATION (GENERAL)
The guest, who has completed the order, can cancel their order by email to HH. HH only accepts cancellations made by the person who has completed the order. In the event of a cancellation, HH will always confirm the guest's cancellation by email to the person who has completed the booking, and the following conditions apply to Cancellations:

4.1. CANCELLATION (NEW AND ADJUSTED)
For the period 1 December 2020 and for arrivals up to 15 August 2021, the following applies:
In case of cancellation and / or change of the booking, which is made 21 days or earlier before the arrival date, this can be done without justification and the customer will be refunded their payments to HH without deduction of any fees. Currency differences are not compensated / deducted in refunds.
HH is an intermediary of other people's properties, therefore the main part of the income HH receives from the Purchaser will be paid to the owners of the housing units.

NB: if the booking and cancellation of more than 1 accommodation unit applies, the conditions for cancellation of a housing unit with 13 or more beds, see the conditions «For cancellation of a housing unit with 13 or more beds» below.

For cancellation of accommodation with 12 or fewer beds

For accommodation units, with 12 or fewer beds, which are canceled 21 days or more before arrival, this can be done without justification, and the customer will be refunded 100% of their payments to HH without deduction of any fees. Currency differences are not compensated / deducted in refunds.

For accommodation units, with 12 or fewer beds, which are canceled 20-15 days before arrival, HH retains 50% of the entire contract amount / booking amount, and the entire payment / cost for any additional services booked, provided that these are not possible to cancel, resell or otherwise does not result in a charge for HH. No fees are charged and currency differences are not compensated / deducted in refunds.

For accommodation units, with 12 or fewer beds, which are canceled 14-0 days before arrival, HH retains 100% of the entire contract amount / booking amount and the entire payment / cost for any additional services ordered, regardless of whether these can be canceled, reversed, leads to cost for HH or not.

For cancellation of accommodation with 13 or more beds, or when the booking and cancellation applies to several accommodation and for groups the following applies

For accommodation units, with 13 or more beds, which are canceled 21 days or more before arrival, this can be done without justification, and bookers will be refunded 100% of their payments to HH without deducting any fees. Currency differences are not compensated / deducted in refunds.

For accommodation units, with 13 or more beds, which are canceled 20-0 days before arrival, HH retains 100% of the entire contract amount / booking amount and the entire payment / cost for any additional services ordered, regardless of whether these can be canceled, reversed, leads to cost for HH or not.

When HH receives cancellations where the customer gets their refund limited to either 50% or 0% of their booking cost, HH will try to rent out the accommodation unit again to other guests / customers. If HH succeeds in renting out the housing unit to others, HH will refund the amount that will be the difference between the new contract amount and what HH has received from the customer less the amount already paid and an administration fee of NOK 500.

All refunds, also for bookings made via online, are made via Norsk bank and to the Order's bank account, due to documentation requirements. In order to carry out such refunds, HH must receive the correct account number iban and swift as well as other relevant information.

«Transfer the order to someone else» With reference to point 6. in the Order Terms:
The customer has the right to put someone else in his place, and HH must accept this person if there are no special reasons. Such reasons may, for example, be age determinations, that the persons are listed in the overview of persons HH, based on previous experiences with the same guest / guests, do not want as guests.

The customer / guest must notify HH of the change no later than five days before arrival. In the event of changes in orders, HH is entitled to charge an administration fee of NOK 200. If the agreement is transferred to another, the acquirer and the original orderer are jointly liable to HH for what remains to be paid for the order and for any additional costs as a result of the transfer and / or compensation for breach of these terms.

4.7 SPECIAL FACILITIES
If you want the accommodation unit to have special facilities, location, pets allowed / no pets, distance to ski lift / activity or that guests have special requirements for accommodation or location and this does not clearly appear in the description and confirmation, the guest MUST contact HH ​​directly to make sure of this before booking a housing unit. If the order is completed, this will not be a reason for cancellation either with or without paid cancellation protection.

5.0. CANCELLATION PROTECTION
BUT HH recommends all our customers to ensure that any cancellation costs are covered by an insurance the customer has taken out with others. Until further notice, for the winter of 2021, it will not be possible to purchase HH's Cancellation Protection, ref to that point 5 has been changed.

General points in relation to the above:
For those of our guests who 21 days before arrival are unsure whether there are / will be travel restrictions introduced to Norway, must therefore cancel before 21 days before arrival to ensure that the booking can be canceled at no cost to the customer.

Regardless of the reason, including force majeure, war, pandemics, strikes or lockouts, which leads to the cancellation where the customer incurs a cost / does not receive a full refund on their order, no refund beyond what is mentioned above will be paid / credited. The customer is responsible for taking out their own cancellation insurance to cover costs related to the cancellation.

For guests residing outside Norway's borders:
Where the reason for the cancellation, between day 20 and the day of arrival, is justified by the fact that the border to Norway is closed or travel restrictions have been introduced from the customer's place of residence and into Norway, this will not lead to a refund of the booking made.

For guests residing in Norway:
Where the reason for the cancellation, between day 20 and the day of arrival is justified by the introduction of national and statutory travel restrictions / "Cabin ban" which makes the trip or stay illegal, HH will consider this as a valid cancellation reason and cancellation can be carried out until the day of arrival and full refund will be granted.

If the person who has booked or one of the travel companions is infected with Covid-19, or another serious illness / incident, and / or that someone in the travel companions introduces travel or quarantine restrictions for all or part of the travel companions, this will not be considered a valid reason for cancellation - BUT on the other hand, such an event will normally be covered by a regular travel insurance.

For guests residing in Norway or outside Norway's borders:

If the customer has already arrived and the NORWEGIAN national authorities order that the customer / guests must return to their home / home country, the following applies in relation to refunds:
The refund will be given based on the number of nights the accommodation is used and the number of nights left of the stay but with the deduction of one night.

If Hafjell Alpinsenter is ordered closed by the Norwegian authorities, the following applies: (applies only to the Alpine Resort and not by closing down restaurants or other activities in connection with the Alpine Center)
If this occurs before the Booker's arrival and is decided to last until the booked arrival day, this will be a valid cancellation reason and 100% of the booking will be refunded.
If this occurs during the guest's stay, the calculation will be as follows:
The refund will be given based on the number of nights the accommodation is used and the number of nights left of the stay but with the deduction of one night.

Otherwise, HH's other Order Terms will apply.
