The park in Hafjell
One of Norway's best terrain parks
The park in Hafjell is one of Norway's best and has three terrain parks with three different levels.
HAFJELLPARKEN: KIDS FRONTYARD
KIDS Frontyard for beginners and intermediate with a green line.
KIDS Frontyard is a perfect area for beginners. Whether you're learning basic skiing/snowboarding skills, or jumping for the first time, this park is the area for you. Next to the track lift you will find simple obstacles that can be your first encounter with parks. From the top of the bowl lift there is a little more slope and you can choose between regular hill, forest trail or three small jumps. Once you master the jumps in the KIDS Frontyard, you can safely move on to the backyard.
HAFJELLPARKEN: BACKYARD
Backyard for intermediate, intermediate and expert with blue, red and black lines.
Backyard is sheltered by the exit of the gondola at Mosetertoppen and has its own bowl lift. The park is about 500 meters long and has three lines with elements for everyone.
Each line has 6 elements and the difficulty increases with the lines. The park has a blue and red jump line where the idea is that you as a newcomer to the park can start on the blue line, to work your way up as you become more confident in your skiing. This is a perfect training arena for those who want to develop their park skills, and once you have mastered all the lines in the Backyard, you can safely move on to the Main Park.
HAFJELLPARKEN: MAIN PARK
Mainpark for intermediate and expert with blue, red and black lines.
Main Park was the first park in Hafjell and was opened in the autumn of 2000. Major events have been held here such as the Megapark, the Norwegian Championships, the Norwegian Cup and the Youth Olympics in Slopestyle . It can be a good idea to read the park rules and have basic skills in place before you go here. There are also lockable lockers (NOK 10).
