Hafjell Bike Park
Hafjell Bike Park has become known as one of Norway's best arenas for downhill cycling. The cycling routes, which have a height difference of 830 m, are of varying degrees of difficulty, with options for the most daring to those who want a soft introduction to the sport.
Hafjell Bike Park is one of Europe's premier destinations for lift-based cycling and offers varied trails adapted to the whole family, regardless of experience. Here you'll find everything from easy beginner trails to action-packed challenges reminiscent of roller coasters. The park's 17 exciting trails stretch over 25 kilometers and are ranked by difficulty level with color codes from green to black, in the same way as during the ski season. The bike rental has a wide selection: 100 downhill bikes, 20 mountain bikes and 10 e-bikes – all ready for new, memorable experiences. The gondola takes you to Mosetertoppen, a full 586 meters up, and serves as a perfect start for downhill cycling, mountain hikes and scenic cycling experiences in Øyers fjellheim.
The new trail bike network that is being felt these days, starts in the upper part of Hafjell and branches further into Øyerfjellet. This is the gateway to one of Norway's most spectacular mountain terrain, complete with gravel roads, farm roads and trails. The terrain, with its flat areas and challenging, hilly trails, is ideal for trail riding. Here you can enjoy cycling in enchanting mountain landscapes with variety for all levels.
The new "Roller Coaster" track delivers a real roller coaster feeling with adrenaline at every turn. Here there are a total of 60 jumps and 36 curves that give a real rush in the stomach and guaranteed air under the wheels. Perfect for experienced cyclists seeking exciting challenges down the valleyside.
As Norway's leading player in lift-based cycling, Hafjell Bike Park offers 17 different trails spread over 28 kilometers, from green to black difficulty. In recent years, downhill cycling has become popular among beginners and families, and in 2016 a new trail was opened especially for them. It's fascinating to see whole families in full protective gear ready for fun on the slopes. Downhill cycling is an activity where you decide both the speed and the course, which makes it accessible to anyone who can cycle. For the more advanced cyclists, a new, black trail was built last year that really gets the adrenaline pumping.
