Family areas in Hafjell

Children is the most important guests in Hafjell and we can offer three familyareas for play and fun. The three familyareas is placed in the bottomstation, one by the endstation for the gondola and one at the top near Gaiastova. All three with unique skirelated themes. If you go skiing in all three areas you'll get one button for each area and a cool gift!

KIDS Knerten

KIDS Knerten is a familyarea placed centrally in Hafjell's valley station.
The familyarea consists of "Familiebakken" and "Knerten" and 4 lifts. KIDS Knerten has a slalomtheme where the kids can try skiing through the slalomgates. This is also the meetingplace for the skischool and without a doubt the perfect place for beginners. We have accommodation close to this family area; Alpin apartments solsiden, Hafjelltunet, Hafjell alpinlandsby pluss and chalets at Nordlia.

KIDS Gondoltoppen

KIDS Gondoltoppen is the familyarea right next to the endstation for the Gondola. The family area at Gondolatop is a great place for gathering the family up in the mountains. Everything is in place here for giving you and your family a great skiing experience. This is what the area has to offer:

- Frontyard: a kidsslope with easy parkelements, figureslope, forestslope and a slope for sledding. You can also enjoy a packed bbq lunch and buy some hot drinks in "Varmestua". There is also a toilet available here.

- Backyard: a bluepark which fits beginners to advanced. Here you'll find jumps and rails which fits every level. From this year you can also go skiing in the evening here, because of the new floodlights, every tuesday, wednesday and thursday from 3th of january to 19.00.

- BMW Skimovie: Here you ave the opportunity to let us take the time and film you as you race down the gates! The film and your time you can see at skiline.cc. There is also a "photopoint" which takes your picture with a view placed right next to Skavlen restaurant.

- Buåsløypa: Take the lift parallell to the skimovie, but take it all the way to the top for a nice but fun slope in some terraine.

KIDS Gaia

KIDS Gaia is a our new familyarea on the top of Hafjell right next to Gaiastova.

The familyarea is extended and in slope 14 there is going to be skiplay with figureslope, mini-crossslope while in slope 15 there will be pure skiing. There is bbq's available and seatings for enjoying a nice, hot meal together. There is also a new slope for sledding where the kids can have fun with their own sledges. KIDS Gaia is a familyarea with lots of skiing and other acitivities regardless of their skills.
