NORWEGIAN ORIENTEERING FESTIVAL 2024

Lillehammer OK has in collaboration with Fossum IF been awarded the event Norwegian Orienteering Festival 2024. Lillehammer OK and Fossum IF are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the event Norwegian Orienteering Festival in 2024. This event will be held in the Lillehammer region and will be the largest orienteering event in Norway. The event will include a range of activities such as sprint, middle and long distance races, as well as a relay race. The event will also feature a range of social activities and cultural experiences.

The last time Lillehammer hosted the "games" was in 1997. The award takes place after the clubs joined forces in early 2020 for an application and recently the plans have been concretized. in dialogue with NOF.

Dates and program will be as follows:
Friday, June 21, 2024 - Sprint
Saturday 22 June 2024 - Intermediate distance
Sunday 23 June 2024 - Long distance

The event will be part of the Norwegian Cup 2024 for junior and senior, as well as WRE races. Lillehammer Orienteering Club is looking forward to an exciting period in the next few years where they will equip the club to receive several thousand eager orienteering runners.

The preliminary plans are for the competitions to take place at Natrudstilen Sjusjøen and in the center of Lillehammer.
