Øyer mountain is a fantastic mountain area right by Hafjell where you can now visit several farms and get to know people and animals on the farms.

Øyer mountain is a fantastic mountain area right by Hafjell where you can now visit several farms and get to know people and animals on the farms. In Øyer mountain there are still 13 settlers who run traditional farmed farms with cow's and goat's milk production. Several of these cater for visitors and here you can enjoy the animals, hear about life at the farm.
Annually, 7000-8000 sheep and around 500 cattle graze on pasture.
Open Sjøsetra mountain farm Thursday-Saturday 13 - 20 in July.
Entrance NOK 100.- per person including waffle, coffee or juice.
