At the entrance of the Gudbrandsdalen valley, cutting north from Lillehammer, you find the hills of Hafjell facing the sun and the visitors. The Winter Olympics gave a worldwide resonance to the name and the resort has developed to become a master of winter. Hafjell hotell representing the local hospitality are located at the base of the resort. The wide variety of Alpine slopes at Hafjell provide a diverse range of skiing challenges. 07.30 -10.30 Traditional Norwegian Christmas breakfast
09:00 - 14:00 Hafjell ski resort open - Visit Santa at the ski slopes. Take your own pictures with Santa Claus. For Christmas services at the local church see: www.kirken.oyer.no
15.00 Coffee, hot juice and christmas cakes in the Fireplace lounge at Hafjell Hotell. Deadline for delivery of Christmas packages at the reception for later delivery of Santa Claus. Up to two packages per guest, which are very well marked with name and room number
17.00 A large traditional Christmas buffet is served at Hafjell Hotell. The menu on Christmas Eve is a traditional Norwegian Christmas buffet for hotel guests and anyone else who wants to experience Christmas at Hafjell Hotel.  Christmas Eve Menu at Hafjell Hotel is a buffet with traditional Scandinavian dishes. Both cold and hot dishes and desserts that will surely fit for most.

19.00 - 21.00 Indoor Playground open to the children - unmanned, parents must join.

Hafjell Hotell offers a traditional Christmas celebration with a large Christmas buffet, a walk around the Christmas tree and a visit from Santa. It is a very special Christmas atmosphere when our guests meet Christmas Eve.

Close to the reception, children have their own small play area, and various games can be borrowed from reception. The hotel has several cozy lounges with different seating areas. When the fireplace is lit in the evening, many of the guests gather in the fireplace room to sum up today's experiences while planning tomorrow. Close to the hotel lies Lekeland Hafjell - an indoor playland of 900 sqm above 4 levels. Guests at Hafjell Hotell have a 50% discount on entrance to Lekeland, during regular opening hours. In the evening between 19:00 - 21:00 it is free for hotel guests with entrance from the hotel. Those of Christmas parties wishing to buy Christmas presents, the Christmas town of Lillehammer is only 15 km from Hafjell.  You will also find som shops close to the hotel.

At Lillehammer you will find most of the shops, galleries and museums and we recommend strolling in Storgata and enjoying the Christmas atmosphere. Most of the Christmas guests who want to buy Christmas gifts can travel to Lillehammer is just 15 km from Hafjell. Downtown Lillehammer, with its award-winning Storgata, is famous far and wide. The charming, preserved buildings lining main street is the backdrop for a modern and enjoyable shopping environment with a number of specialist shops and a wide-ranging selection of goods. There are also art galleries and museums close by, so you can combine your Christmas shopping activities with cultural, artistic and nature experiences as well.
