Accommodation in Hafjell adapted for the disabled

Hafjell Hotell won the tourism award for Hedmark and Oppland. Hafjell Hotell won the accessibility award among the tourism companies in Hedmark and Oppland. According to the jury, Hafjell Hotell has shown great commitment to this, has implemented measures at the hotel and they plan to continue with new measures. The Ministry of the Environment is behind the award, but the county municipalities in Hedmark and Oppland carry out the award in collaboration with NHO and Norwegian Tourism Development.

Among other things, there has been investment in a disabled toilet by the fireplace, a telephone loop in reception and the meeting rooms, and that most of our food is lactose or gluten-free. In the autumn of 2021, several hotel rooms with a universal design were built, as well as a hotel lift to the 2nd floor.

At Hafjell Hotel, we think especially about our guests with wheelchairs. WE have therefore created an entrance area with a gentle slope down towards the front door - in addition to laying heating cables in the entrance area so that it will not become icy in winter. We have several extra-large hotel rooms with large bathrooms, so that it should be easy to move around. Most of the facilities in the hotel are on the same floor.
