Pet friendly hotel

Hafjell Hotell have reserved rooms for guest with pets. Some of our guests would like to take a dog or cat on their skiing holiday and now we make it easier for dogs and cat owners to book a stay at Hafjell. We have reserved two double rooms at Hafjell Hotell and a few selected apartments at Alpin Apartments Sørlia and Alpin Apartments Solsiden where all the family including the four-legged are welcome.

All these cabins and chalets are located so that it is possible to go hiking with our dog along roads or footpaths. An additional charge of NOK 500.- for the stay goes for extra cleaning of the room / unit.  When booking a room at Hafjell Hotell please inform the hotel that you will have your pet with you.

Dog at Hafjell Hotell

Dog or other pets are not allowed in reception, restaurant or fireplace room. It is permitted to bring a leading dog in the hotel's public facilities, but try to limit this to a minimum due to the fact of allergy. Do not leave the pet alone for a long time in the room to Hafjell Hotell or the apartment or the cabin. Dog or other pets should not be in furniture or bed. 

There are many people who want to bring their pet with them and these rooms are fully booked for large parts of the year. We recommend that you contact Hafjell Hotell directly to clarify whether there is any available capacity before you book a room.

Dog in family parks and museum

Lilleputthammer Family Park: Dogs are welcome in the family park, but the dog must be kept on a leash and be used to children.
Hunderfossen Adventure Park: Dogs are welcome here throughout the summer season as long as the dog is kept on a leash.
Barnas Gård Hunderfossen: For infection reasons, it is not allowed to bring a dog or other animals into Barnas Gård Hunderfossen.
Maihaugen: At Maihaugen, dogs are welcome in our outdoor areas. However, it is not allowed to bring the dog into the historic houses or inside the visitor center.
